Since the merger with the rival American Football League (AFL) in 1970, it has been officially called the AFC-NFC Pro Bowl, matching players in the American Football Conference (AFC) against those in the National Football Conference (NFC). The game had been played at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii, since January 1980. In 2010, the NFL moved the Pro Bowl to the host site of the Super Bowl. This year, the game will return to Hawaii the weekend before the Super Bowl. |
